The rich man finally understands what his brothers need to do.
They need to repent.
And that’s still what we need to do.
Repentance isn’t simply feeling bad about your sin.
It’s turning from your sin and turning to Jesus.
Because here’s the incredible news of the gospel:
The One warning you about hell is the same One who came to rescue you from it.
Jesus lived the life you couldn’t live.
He died the death you deserved to die.
He took your sin and judgment on Himself.
And then He did the very thing the rich man thought would convince his brothers.
He rose from the dead.
Jesus has already told us how the story ends.
He’s told us eternity is real.
But knowing how the story ends isn’t the same as being ready for the ending.
So don’t wait.
Turn from your sin.
Turn to Jesus.
And do it while there’s still time.

Today’s Question: Am I trusting in what I’ve done for Jesus or in what Jesus has done for me?
Today’s Challenge: If you know Jesus, thank Him today for rescuing you and pray by name for someone who doesn’t know Him yet. If you’ve never placed your faith in Jesus, don’t put that decision off another day.
Today’s Prayer: “Jesus, thank You for taking my sin and judgment on Yourself. Help me trust completely in what You have done for me and live every day grateful for the life You’ve given me.”
