Day 3Everything New

Day 3

Everything New

God finally speaks for Himself.

And He says, “I am making everything new!”

I love that.

He doesn’t say…

“I’m making a few improvements.”

“I’m fixing the really bad stuff.”

“I’m making everything a little better.”

And He says, “I am making everything new!”

Everything sin has broken.

Everything death has touched.

Everything that isn't the way God originally intended it to be.

And then God tells John to write it down because these words are “trustworthy and true.”

In other words, this isn’t wishful thinking.

It’s a promise.

God was there at the beginning, and He’ll be there at the end.

And one day, He will finish what He started.

So when it feels like everything is falling apart, remember…

God isn't finished.

Today’s Question: Where do I need to trust that God is not finished with the story?

Today’s Challenge: When something broken catches your attention today, let it remind you of God’s promise: “I am making everything new.”

Today’s Prayer: “God, thank You that brokenness doesn't get the last word. Help me trust Your promise that one day You will make everything new.”
