Day 5The Difference Is Jesus

Day 5

The Difference Is Jesus

Heaven sounds incredible.

Everything made new.

Nothing hurting.

Nothing broken.

Nothing to fear.

God with us forever.

But John also makes something very clear…not everyone will be there.

And that raises the most important question of the entire week:

How do I know I'll be there?

If you didn’t already know, you don’t get to Heaven just because…

You went to church every Sunday.

You were baptized.

You believe Heaven exists.

You are a pretty good person.

Because the reality is that none of us are good enough.

We’re all sinners.

The way you get to Heaven is the way anyone gets to Heaven.

Through Jesus.

Jesus lived the life you couldn’t live.

He died the death you deserved to die.

He paid for your sin on the cross.

And three days later, He walked out of the grave.

Today, if you turn from your sin and put your faith and trust in Jesus alone, He will save you.

Of course, if you’ve already said yes to Jesus, then you have the promise that you will spend forever with Him in this perfect place He’s prepared for us.

So, get ready…because the best is yet to come.

Today’s Question: Am I trusting in something I've done for Jesus, or am I trusting completely in what Jesus has done for me?

Today’s Challenge: If you belong to Jesus, spend some time thanking Him for the future He has promised you. If you’ve never trusted Him, don’t settle for simply believing in Heaven. Turn from your sin and put your faith in Jesus today.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, thank You for making a way for me to be with You forever. Help me live this life with my eyes on the life to come, knowing that because of You, the best really is yet to come.
