Paul tells us to restore people gently.
Then he immediately says, “Watch yourselves.”
Why?
Because it's incredibly easy to look at someone else's failure and think…
“I would never do that.”
Be careful.
You might not struggle with their sin.
But you do struggle with sin.
Everyone does.
And the moment we start believing we're somehow above someone else is the moment pride starts taking over.
That's why Paul tells us to watch ourselves.
We don't help people from a position of superiority.
We help them from a position of humility.
We're not standing over someone who fell.
We're standing beside them knowing we could fall too.
Grace changes the way you see people.
Because when you remember how much grace you've needed...
You're usually much more willing to give it.
