Day 1Loved to the End

Day 1

Loved to the End

John tells us that Jesus “loved them to the end.”

That’s a beautiful statement.

But it becomes even more beautiful when you remember who “them” included.

Judas was about to betray Him.

Peter was about to deny Him.

Thomas would doubt Him.

And before the night was over, all of them would abandon Him.

Jesus knew all of that.

And He loved them anyway.

Their past failures didn’t change His love for them.

Their present failures didn’t change His love for them.

Even their future failures wouldn’t change His love for them.

And neither do yours.

That doesn’t mean Jesus ignores our sin or doesn’t care how we live.

It means His love isn’t as fragile as ours.

He knows everything about you.

The good.

The bad.

Even what’s coming next.

And He loves you still.

Today’s Question: Do I really believe Jesus knows everything about me and still loves me completely?

Today’s Challenge: When you fail today, resist the temptation to run from Jesus. Run toward Him instead.

Today’s Prayer: “Jesus, thank You for loving me completely even though You know me completely. Help me receive Your love and let it change the way I live.”
