Paul spends the first part of Romans building a case against humanity.
And eventually, he brings everybody together.
Religious people. Irreligious people.
Rule followers. Rule breakers.
People who grew up in church. People who want nothing to do with church.
And Paul says we all have the same problem.
Sin.
Now, we don't all sin the same.
But we all sin.
And sin is more than doing really bad things. At its core, sin is choosing our way instead of God's way.
That's why Paul says: “There is no one righteous, not even one.”
Not most of us.
Not the really bad people.
No one.
That's the bad news.
But before we can fully appreciate the good news of the Gospel, we have to understand the bad news.
Because until we understand what's wrong with us, we'll never understand why we so desperately need Jesus.

Today's Question:
Do I really see sin as my problem, or do I mostly see it as everyone else's problem?
Today's Challenge:
Ask God to show you one area where you've been choosing your way instead of His. Don't minimize it. Don't excuse it. Call your sin what God calls it.
Today's Prayer:
“Father, help me see myself honestly. Show me where I've chosen my way instead of Yours, and give me the humility to admit my need for You.”
