Day 2More Than Knowing

Day 2

More Than Knowing

You can know a lot about Jesus without actually trusting Jesus.

You can know He lived. Know He died on a cross. Know Christians believe He rose from the dead. You can even know a lot of Bible verses.

But Paul isn't talking about simply knowing the right facts. He says we must believe in our hearts.

That means trusting that Jesus really is who He says He is. Trusting that He really died for our sins. Trusting that God really raised Him from the dead. And trusting what He did instead of what we do to make us right with God.

Because you can believe a lot of things about Jesus without ever actually trusting in Jesus.

And that's the difference between information and faith.

The Gospel isn't simply something to only understand. It's Someone to trust.

Today's Question:

Do I simply believe things about Jesus, or have I actually put my trust in Jesus?

Today's Challenge:

Identify one area of your life where you know what Jesus says but are struggling to trust Him enough to follow Him. Take one step of obedience there today.

Today's Prayer:

“Jesus, I don't want to simply know things about You. I want to trust You. Help me put my confidence in who You are and what You've done for me.”
